LCDR. Jack Mason Gougar, USN (Ret.)

Pilot of C-54 Transport (Navy 8) 1965-1967
And also
Maintenance Officer for the 1966 - 1967 Show Seasons

Jack Gougar has had an amazing Naval Career. He joined the Navy on January 10, 1941 as a Seaman Recruit and trained at the Great Lakes naval Training Station (Great Lakes, Illinois).

He had the distinction of being a Mustang (Enlisted Pilot), one of the few very special men who qualified for this duty. (There is a special plaque dedicated to these pilots at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida.) Below, you can read about his full Naval Career, which has now been written into an autobiography, "not because I am an unusual person," Jack says, "but because I have had unusual experiences during my Naval Career."

He as given us insight into his years with the Blue Angels in his "Memories" section, accessed by the button below. And to see the rest of his remarkable Navy Career, use the USN Career button below.

WE WANT TO THANK LCDR. JACK GOUGAR, FOR SHARING THESE HIGHLIGHTS WITH US!
